Chapter 6 – BANGLADESH-UNITED STATES RELATIONS: COMMEMORATING THE PAST, HARNESSING THE FUTURE

Author: Nahian Reza Sabriet

Description

Bangladesh and the United States (US) are very different in terms of size, population, demography, or geography. Two countries, 13,000 km apart from each other and divided by oceans, have to be strongly connected through intangible elements. Traditionally, when countries like Bangladesh and the US come under academic discussions, they are seen from small state versus big state perspectives. However, this chapter aims at making a shift from that lens and looking at the relationship from an equidistant position.
